Pricing
How pricing works
Nothing here is a figure, and that's on purpose. Here's what the number in your scope will depend on.
What decides the price
The floor under the room, how far things move, the materials you choose, the number of openings, and the approvals the house needs.
What the written scope includes
The work in each room, the products by name, what is left out, the order of work, who is on site and a price for each piece, so you can say yes to the first and wait on the rest.
What it doesn't include
Medical equipment from a dealer, moving furniture and anything behind a wall we can't see yet. The scope names each one.
The visit
About an hour and a half. We measure, take photos and ask how you move. Bring a list of what's hard, and a family member by phone if you can.
Scheduling and the storm season
Indoor jobs can start in any month. Exterior openings are ordered ahead, and a named storm can move the dates. The contract says how.
When you get the number
After the walk-through, in writing, never over the phone. You're welcome to take it to another firm.
Paying for it
Deposits, changes and who pays
The deposit and the schedule
Florida sets rules for deposits and what a contract must say. Yours states the deposit and when each payment is due, tied to finished work.
Changes
Anything outside the scope is priced and signed before we do it. We never add a charge afterwards.
Financing
We don't arrange financing. If you use a loan or a home equity line, we itemize the scope for your lender.
Who pays
Medicare and most health insurance don't pay for home changes. Veterans may qualify for VA grants. A county veterans service officer can tell you.
Why we don't print an average
Guides to the cost of an accessible bathroom disagree by several times, because slabs, plumbing, approvals and finishes differ from house to house. An average would put a number in your head that isn't yours. We'd rather measure, and write down the one that is.
